Mármint az Indiai. Itt ugyanis még az van, és ünneplik is. Ma, január 26-án számszerint a 66-ik parádét rendezték meg.
The Indian, I mean. Because it is still a republic, and they actually celebrate it. Today, on 26th January, by number, the 66th parade took place.
A sztárvendég Obama volt.
The VIP guest was Obama.
Összességében egy nagyon sokszínű, katonai és kulturális elemeket felvonultató parádé volt. Kicsit lógott az eső lába, és a szmogos köd miatt nem nagyon lehetett látni a repülőformációkat, főleg az utolsót, ami egy vadászgép manőverezése volt, valahol a magasban.
Altogether, it was a very colourful and diverse parade, containing military and cultural elements as well. The weather was a bit rainy, and due to the fog and smog, it was quite difficult to see the air display, especially the last one, which was manouvering of a jet fighter, somewhere up in the sky.
Én csak itthonról a tv-ben néztem, mert ugyan gondolkodtam, hogy ki kellett volna menni, de a parádéhoz közeli helyszíneken lezárták a metróállomásokat és most még az átlagos tömeghez képest is szászor nagyobb lehetett a tömeg, így tehát nem tudtam volna kijutni és bármit is látni. (A moszkvai győzelem napi parádén azért jobb a zene nekem).
I was watching it on the TV at home, because although I was thinking of going out, the metro stations around the parade venue were closed down and the crowd must have been a 100 times bigger than normally, so I couldn’t have made it close to the parade and seen anything. (For me, the music is better at the Victory Day parade in Moscow).
Nem beszélve arról, hogy egy kicsit másnapos is vagyok, mert tegnap a holland szakmai gyakornoknak köszönhetően eljutottam egy indiai házi buliba, ami egyébként kicsit moderáltabb, de összességében hasonló volt egy normál európai házi bulihoz.
Not to mention that I’m a bit hungover, because thanks to the Dutch intern, I was invited to an Indian house party, which was a bit more moderate, but in general very similar to a normal European house party.
A nagy különbség az volt, hogy ott voltak a házi gazda szülei is, akik egyébként meglepően lazának és jófejnek tűntek. Azt azért el kell mondani, hogy ezek az emberek és fiatalok a közép/felsőosztály tagjai és az átlagnál tanultabbak, és ezért modernebb felfogásúak.
The big difference was that the parents of the host were also there, who actually seemed very laid back and cool. I have to point it out though that these people are middle/upper class and more educated than the average, and therefore more modern in mentality.
Ettől függetlenül mindig érdekes látni a hatalmas ellentéteket az kicsi közép/felsőosztály és a többség mentalitásában is (nem csak pénzügyi helyzetükben).
Nevertheless, it is always interesting to see the enormous differenes in the mentality of the small middle/upper class and the majority (not only in their financial situation).
Egyébként a buli kicsit rosszul indult, mert este már alig volt itt tuktuk a környékemen, az az egy aki meg hajlandó volt elvinni, tulajdonképpen nem elég hogy jól lehúzott, még a rossz helyen is rakott ki. Onnan még egy tuktukot kellett fognom.
By the way, the party did not start off very well for me, because there was hardly any autorickshaw in my neighbourhood, and the one who was willing to take me ripped me off badly, and even dropped me off at the wrong place. From there, I had to catch another.
De végül mégis megérte ez a bolyongás. A buli után szerencsénkre találtunk taxit, és szépen sorban mindenki hazajutott hajnali 3-ra.
But after all, it was worth almost getting lost. After the party, we luckily found a taxi, and one by one, we all got home by 3AM.

De megértem a másnapos állapotot, mit tudtál volna tenni mást mint töményet inni. Attól nem kell annyit pisálni menni. :-)))
